It was a game well-worth staying up until 1am to listen to via the radio via the Internet. A hard-fought, hang on by the skin of their teeth victory for the Rockets propels them past the Silvertips to round two against the Tri-City Americans. This is the second straight year they'll be meeting in the playoffs, and again I wonder if Josh Gorges and Carey Price have a small wager on the outcome.
40 saves for Mark Guggenberger, including 33 in the final two periods. Hopefully he'll get the opportunity to carry the Rockets the rest of the way and earn some redemption for the Memorial Cup Championship game last year, where he was shelled for 3 goals in the first ten minutes of the game against Windsor. Few expected that team to go so far, and probably even fewer predicted this victory. But hey, it's the playoffs, where anything can, and does, happen!
