How about that Oilers game last night!!! A fantastic crowd and a great bit of playoff hockey. This series has been awesome (especially when compared to the others) and I hope that it goes the distance. It'll mean a tired team against a well-rested Anaheim squad, but wow what hockey. Too bad that the Avs got swept; on balance it makes the Theodore trade look more in Montreal's favour since they aren't on the hook for his salary anymore and he didn't pull a Patrick Roy and win the Stanley Cup only months after being traded. They're not likely to keep both Huet and Aebischer, given that CH39 is up for a decent raise and Aebischer makes $1.9M, too much for a guy that will be in the back-up role. I think that he will be let go (thus making the deal really a dump Theo trade) and the Habs will have Huet and Yann Danis next season. Any thoughts on that?

Otherwise an uneventful week. Got a whole bunch of new books and wrote a good chunk of the thesis, not too much else going on. Harper's still making the Liberals look bad, and this much-speculated-about concept of the federal government suing the Liberals for any potential outstanding money from the sponsorship scandal could have legs to it. Maybe I'll write something on the subject after it's developed a little more, until then it's all speculation and the usual Liberal spin-cycling.
